BUSY day today. Woke up around 7 in the morning to meet up and sell the 7D. Got the cash, and after some thought (between car parts and camera gear), I found a guy who was selling his 5D Mark II and was free in Tacoma for the day. I went to class, then around 1:30PM picked up Tan and headed over to this guy's work and bought the 5D Mark II. This body is everything I loved about my old 5D Classic, (it's ruggedness, heft, image quality, simplicity yet functional, FULL FRAME, etc.) combined with the things I loved about the 7D I had for about a week (1080p video, live view for manual focus precision, clean images at high ISO, new custom controls, etc.). I feel like this body is going to stay for a whiilllleee.
After I got home from buying the 5D Mark II, I waited for my 50mm I ordered from B&H to come in the mail then Rachael wanted to go out for dinner tonight. We went to our usual place and one of our favorite waitresses Jessica was working. She hooked it up with a free BLT and fries as we walked in, and even gave us a free dessert she made that was delicious. We had her take a photo of us and here it is. Thanks Jessica!
