Seattle Photo Walk 2011 Farewell Edition Part 1

On August 11th, my friends Connor held a photo walk because he was moving to Japan. The date was changed several times which led to a lot of people not being able to go. The grand total was 9 people; Connor, Martina, Vince, Grace, Brian, Michael, Taylor, Rachael, and I. I met cool new people though and had a lot of fun.

The day started off my me and Rachael heading up to Seattle. We thought we were early so we ended up going to Dick's to eat for a bit before because Connor was late anyway. After that we ended up lost and driving around Westlake Center (the meetup place) for about 45 minutes trying to find a place to park. We found parking then walked down to the meeting place. Showed up to find that there were only 5 people there. We chilled while Connor called a lot of people who said they'd be going. Vince showed up later. We went over to watch this chess game and ended up shooting some pictures of them. This weird guy with a cigar came up to us and tried to talk all camera tech with us, but we can tell that he was talking out of his butt. He was like, "I shoot with that new camera, Canon Rebel T3i. The best part about it is the swivel screen you know? I can get those cool angled shots.", "You guys are shooting more macro than I usually do.", and "Once you get those f-stops going you can get real cool shots happening." Noobers gonna noob. We all just kind of walked away while he was talking.. lol. We followed along the streets down to Pike Place Market. There was a little Italian place that the gang stopped by and Martina got some food. Walked out of Pike Place, then went up and walked around to find a Japanese hotdog cart. Grace met us when we got to the cart. Grabbed some hotdogs and some drinks and headed toward Gameworks. When we got there, no one really was wanting to play but we didn't mind watching others. Martina and Connor were playing Time Crisis and just gotta say that Martina was kicking Connor's butt.. until she died and had to re-swipe the card. Later, Brian and Michael played too. We walked around a bit in Gameworks a little more and after Martina miraculously won 100 tickets on her first try of a random game, we got some prizes. She spent it on candy for people.
