I found my tripod.. but I'm missing the piece that connects to the camera itself.. guhh.. whenever a good idea pops up, nothing ever goes right.
I think I'm not using my camera as much anymore because I'm bored with it's current setup. I mean, yeah, the 18-55mm, although is a kit lens, is one of the sharpest lenses on the market, but it's like it doesn't cut it in every aspect of photography. The focal length, at 18mm is pretty wide, but sometimes not wide enough, and 55mm is mediocre zoom for events such as indoor sports and zoos. (50mm is comparable to the angle of view of the human eye.) The aperture, at 3.5 or 5.6 wide open sometimes just doesn't cut it for me, it never gives me good fast speeds, and because of this, half of all my pictures end up being deleted because of blurriness and the fact that the D60 doesn't have a built-in focus motor limits my lens compatibility range towards the more expensive end of the spectrum. Although the 18-55mm sometimes gives me good bokeh, it's just not enough to give my photos that stunning portrait look so I need to invest in a portrait lens. The cheapest 50mm with a focus motor built into the lens is $500 and quite frankly, is making me wish I got that D70s and the older 50mm f/1.8D for $300. Don't even get me started on how much I need a flash..

*It may be too late, but this week, since it's all half-days, we should all go out to lunch somewhere on Friday or so. If you're a fan of sushi, Happy Teriyaki on 100th St. (across from the McDonalds at the Towne Centre) have a really good lunch special going on right now; 16 pieces of 2 kinds of sushi rolls for $8.99. Just throwing the idea out there. *
But anyway, I gotta get back to homework. Translate 10 lines of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and write a pargraph about the differences between National Public Radio and Commercial radio. Text me if you'd like. I'll most likely be up for a while.
Good Night.
